In Your Light
“During my exploration, I noticed the tinted light diffusing through the window blinds. The next thing I knew I was standing next to the window, inviting this soft light into my movement. We are caught in some surreal times, in the cycles of lockdown, re-opening, lockdown, environmental destruction, jolting our lives back and forth. At times, there is progress. And then again, we are bolted back into our confinements.
Is there an end in sight? Are we to stay in this longer than we imagined? Are we able to plough through these times?
Roshay 2
We are still meandering through the landscape of lockdowns, reopenings and now, new variants. The exploration draws from the structure of Kathak and the release of Contemporary action. This is a continuation of the Roshay dance series exploring the jolting nature of our lives during these unprecedented quarantine times.
